All members are required to follow the Standards & Protocols contained herein.
All members must respond/reply to emails or phone calls from the Founder within 24 hours.
Individuals must be at least 18 years old to become a R.I.P.A. member (subject to the discretion of the Founders) unless accompanied by a parent who is also a R.I.P.A. member (also subject to the discretion of the Founder).
All individuals will be considered for membership provided that they are serious about paranormal investigations, are dependable, and contribute to the growth and development of R.I.P.A. and the paranormal field.
We look for potential members who would do this anyway on their own without team membership.
All new members will serve a 90 day probationary period. Upon completion, they will meet with the Founder to discuss a permanent membership. This requirement is not meant to be of worry or concern. It simply allows the new member an opportunity to check out the team and the Founder an opportunity to confirm that they are a good fit.
Individuals must identify with our approach and philosophy, i.e., using the true scientific method to discover the truth by way of explaining paranormal phenomena scientifically vs. trying to prove the existence of ghosts, etc. In other words, endeavoring to prove the existence of paranormal events by proving they don't exist.
All team members must provide personal and emergency contact information to R.I.P.A. Team members are personally responsible for any damage (accidental or otherwise) to client’s property or possessions, as well as other team member’s equipment during investigations.
All members will register for R.I.P.A.
All members will submit a one or two paragraph Bio and photo to R.I.P.A. within seven (7) days of membership acceptance.
All members must have the ability to think for themselves.
All members must have an open-mind (a healthy skepticism is fine, but no hard-core skeptics wanted... we are seeking the truth whatever that ultimately means).
All members must maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude in which you contribute toward the growth, development, and success of the team.
All members must have the ability to enjoy investigations and to have fun in the process. All members must have the ability to participate in occasional investigations usually on weekends.
All members must pay their own transportation and incidental expenses (everyone pays their own way).
All members must have access to a computer with Internet access and be reasonably computer literate; in other words, you need to be able to view pictures, videos, and Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
All members must have a valid ID.
No one who has been convicted of a serious crime may join R.I.P.A..
Rudimentary background checks are performed on all potential members.
All members must have a stable life (which in most cases includes having a job, unless you are independently wealthy).
All members must have access to a phone
All members must be dependable and reliable, including regular communication.
All members must contribute to team discussions and attend team meetings.
